Assistant Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Zhen (Sean) Qian composed proposals for the integration and operation of civil infrastructure. I was responsible for proofreading and editing his documents. I improved grammar, style, syntax, accuracy, and overall format of text where needed. This freelance project allowed me to gain experience with writing content and also stressed the importance of paying fine attention to detail. 

My mother is a social worker and has been working in and out of different hospitals the past twenty years. Her stories and profession interested me in creating a blog that revolves around health communications. The patient experience is a topic that is not discussed often. Writing a blog not only involves me with current events, but it also allows me to relieve stress by writing, researching public health interests and discussing them online.
